On July 23, 2025, the SOS Children's Villages Laos program organized a youth training workshop on the topic: "Discovering Inspiration and Identifying One's Own Career Path."
The training content focused on the following points:
- Brief personal history.
- What is the nature of the business or work you are currently doing?
- What is the inspiration for engaging in that specific work or business?
- What is the path for achieving advancement in this business or career field?
- What steps did you take to secure employment or to start your own business?
- What obstacles have you encountered, and how did you resolve and overcome those difficulties and challenges?
- What are your future plans for your career or business?
- What advice would you give to young people for successfully choosing a profession or starting a business in the future?
For this event, we were honored to have Mr. Thongdy Phommavongsa, a renowned lecturer and expert in youth development, share his experiences and provide an inspiring talk to encourage all youth who have dreams, determination, and enthusiasm to achieve their goals, particularly the goal of successfully starting their own business in the future. Furthermore, representatives from the Department of Labour and 108 Jobs attended to provide information and guidance on job searching, applying for jobs, and advancing toward highly desired careers. The event also featured entrepreneurs and successful young professionals to share their insights.
