The 23rd Executive Board Meeting of SOS Children’s Villages International was held from 26–28 June 2025 in Vienna, Austria. The meeting was officially opened by Dr. Dereje Wordofa, President of SOS Children’s Villages International. Participants included board members from donor countries, executive board members from each region, and chairpersons of the SOS Children’s Villages supervisory boards from member countries worldwide, totaling 137 countries. The delegation from Laos, led by Mr. Vongkham Phanthanuvong, Head of the Department of Social Affairs, together with Mr. Sinnasone Nadonhai, Director of SOS Children’s Villages Laos, also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the Lao delegation had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Vorwerk Kay, Director of SOS Children’s Villages Germany, to discuss work related to strengthening and improving the capacities of project supervisory boards and child protection initiatives.
